We are a group of dedicated volunteers who are working together to make Thorold a better place for kids, youth and families. We accomplish this by helping in the community, running fundraising events for local charities, and supporting youth in a variety of ways.
Our charter charity partners are Community Care Thorold, the Early Childhood Community Development Centre (ECCDC), and the Thorold Community Activities Group (TCAG). Thorold Kiwanis members also participate in community service days, and support other charities with their special events.
Thorold Kiwanians directly support local youth through scholarships and direct service with our charity partners. As a newer club, we are just getting started on our fundraising journey – in our first year, we have run bottle drives, supported Kiwanis TV Bingo, and participated in the Thorold Community Market. Future plans include a car rally and showcase event, as well as sponsoring a Circle K Club for post-secondary students in our community.
Most importantly, we have fun! There are opportunities to socialise, engage in special trips and events, travel and more!
